General Questions

  • Please make sure to bring the following items for your first appointment:

    1. Your completed New Patient Paperwork. Complete this paperwork prior to your first appointment. The form can be completed and submitted online or can be filled out by hand and emailed or faxed. 

    2. Your insurance card.

    3. A government-issued photo ID.

    4. Cash, check, or credit card to pay for any copays or deductibles.

  • Under federal law (No Surprises Act), patients who do not have insurance or do not plan to use insurance have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges for medical and mental-health care.

    What this means for you:

    • You can request a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your appointment or any scheduled service.

    • Your estimate will include the expected charges for your visit and any related services we reasonably know about in advance.

    • If you receive a bill that is $400 or more than the Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Please make sure to cancel your appointment at least 24-hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed appointments will incur a $50.00 fee.

  • We send appointment reminders as a courtesy, but we encourage you to keep track of your scheduled time. To ensure you don’t miss your visit, consider adding it to your calendar or setting a reminder on your mobile device.

  •  If you have a balance to pay, please call our office or pay online in your Therapy Appointment portal.

  • Holistic approaches address mind, body, and emotional well-being alongside medication management. We integrate therapy, mindfulness, and non-invasive treatments to create a personalized care plan.

  • Yes, we provide non-medication treatments such as TMS, mindfulness practices, and lifestyle interventions that can help manage mental health conditions effectively.

  • We treat a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and treatment-resistant depression using both traditional and holistic approaches.

  • TMS is an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment for depression that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate brain regions associated with mood regulation, offering relief for those who have not responded well to medication.

  • Spravato is a nasal spray treatment for treatment-resistant depression. It is administered under medical supervision and can provide significant relief for patients who have struggled with traditional antidepressants.

  • We accept various insurance plans for psychiatric and TMS services, but coverage for holistic treatments may vary. We recommend contacting our office for verification.

  • If you feel that your emotions, thoughts, or behaviors are affecting your well-being, relationships, or daily functioning, speaking with a psychologist may be beneficial. You don’t need to be in crisis to seek help—therapy is also useful for personal growth and preventing future problems.

About Therapy and Our Approach

  • The first session is typically an assessment where the psychologist gathers information about your personal history, concerns, and goals. It’s a space for you to express what led you to seek help and to develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

  • Generally, a session lasts between 50 and 60 minutes. In some cases, shorter or longer sessions may be necessary depending on the type of treatment and the patient’s needs.

  • The frequency of sessions varies case by case. Typically, weekly sessions are recommended at the beginning of treatment. As progress is made, the frequency may be adjusted to biweekly or monthly sessions based on the patient’s progress.

  • The duration of treatment depends on the complexity of the issue and the patient’s goals. Some treatments may last only a few weeks or months, while others may require a longer-term approach. Progress is periodically reviewed to adjust treatment as needed.

  • Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental principle in clinical psychology. Everything discussed in therapy is private and protected by ethical and legal guidelines. However, there are exceptions in cases where there is a risk of harm to the individual or others, as required by law.

  • Our services integrate various evidence-based psychological perspectives, such as:

  • Yes, we offer evaluation and treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults. For minors, we work in collaboration with parents or caregivers as needed.

  • We work with some insurance providers and also offer affordable private pay rates. Please contact us to verify your insurance coverage.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid late cancellation fees.
